Here’s a little sneak peek at my secret weapons I use on a daily basis. These things arm me in quest to make money online and organize my life in general and thought it might be fun to do some show and tell. There are of course many other websites I frequent and programs I use that are stashed in bookmarks
or my desktop but what you see here is a pretty good sampling.
Here is a detailed list of what’s in the screenshot:
Bookmarks
Associated Bank - Where I obsessively track my checking account.
Gmail - I heart Gmail.
Bloglines - My RSS reader.
MySpace - Gotta stay in touch! Do a lot of music related networking too.
Somewhere Over the Debt - Link to Admin for this blog.
Web Color Chart - A hexadecimal web color chart I refer to a lot while designing.
Google Analytics - All of my statistics are tracked here. Love it.
AdSense - Gonna hit that $100 mark soon!
Backpack - Online organizer…good for brainstorming and making lists.
Netvibes - My homepage. I would be lost without it….my day starts here.
Digital Point Forums - Lots of good information on seo and internet marketing.
Craigslist - I post ads here for my design studio and check for freelance work.
Last.fm - I scrobble my iTunes and like to find new music with it.
Digg - Use it to submit stories and waste time.
Firefox Plugins
Delicious - Where I store my bookmarks. Don’t forget to back things up frequently!
SEO - Turn it on and you can see all sorts of info while doing google searches like alexa data, PR, etc.
IE tab - I use it to render pages as IE. Essential when designing websites.
FireFTP - FTP program access to my sites and client sites.
Toolbars
StumbleUpon - I try to stumble all my posts to generate traffic. Occasionally I’ll do a bit of stumbling myself.
Google Toolbar - The king of all toolbars. Lets me know if I have mail, what a sites PR is, autofills forms, etc. If you don’t have it…get it!
