Some of the best gas credit cards also offer a 0% APR introductory rate which can help reduce your monthly payments with your higher rate credit cards if you are carrying a lot of debt. My suggestion is that you use the credit card once and pay off the balance in full right away. Wait for the account to hit your credit reports which will add a new positive tradeline and then cut it up or sock drawer it
