You can almost hear the collective gasps across the internet from publishers of sites that have been exploiting AdSense
To see am example of arbitrage in action, do a Google search for a high paying keyword like “insurance” or “lawyers”, click through the sponsored ads and you’ll notice generic URLs like “keyword4u.com” or “keyword123.biz” which are most likely sites flooded with ad links and were built for the sole purpose of generating AdSense revenue.
After years of these increasing “spam sites” and “splogs”, Google is finally taking action against the monster they have created by sending out emails to publishers with the grim warning that their account will be shut down as of June 1st due to their “unfit business model”. I believe this action will bring in more confident advertisers in the long run who aren’t so afraid of paying for wasted clicks.
Hey, remember content? I think it’s making a comeback! All I gotta say is good riddance and props to more ethical ways to make money online!
