Whether you already have a website running adsense ads or are just thinking about making one, a little inspiration is always nice. The key to a good (and hopefully profitable) AdSense site is: content + traffic + well blended ads and the following websites are just a few examples of sites that I feel have successfully integrated AdSense with the content.

1. Grab them Above the Fold

There seems to be a dozen MySpace themed websites popping up every day now, and it has become a really saturated niche which means these guys fight even harder to win high placement in popular search terms like “myspace layouts” so it’s not a bad idea to check out the top runners because you could probably learn a thing or two! This website is one of those top runners and has a clean, slick layout that serves up two side by side rectangle ads on the main page and inline rectangle ads once you start digging into the categories. Given the competition and amount of adverstisers in this niche, I would imagine that the ads pay alright too

2. Excess has it’s Place

At first glance this website may seem like an eyesore but it’s really a great concept because unlike some MFA (made for adsense) sites that can be misleading by baiting a user searching for information with keyword heavy content only to bombard them with adsense ads that lead to nowhere, this site really does deliver quality, unique information. If you click the “about” section, you’ll see that the website uses freelance writers and actually does have some interesting facts and articles. The beauty of the site is that it doesn’t really matter if users click off-site on the AdSense ads because their typical user is just floating through anyway.

3. Text and Image Combo

OnlineGames.net has a really nice balance of inline rectangle text ads and banners without being intrusive. Notice that the AdSense ads have the same color scheme as all of the other content areas which helps them not look so much like advertisments…which is ultimately the secret to really cashing in
