This is an update on a post I made last week to challenge myself to start using social bookmarking sites more to generate traffic. A few days later I wrote a post about the fact that my blog had been getting hits for turning up in google searches for the term “3 steps of making love” more than my targeted keyword phrases like “making money online”. Originally I titled it “Why you should be using Google Webmaster Tools” but thought it was pretty boring so changed it to “Making Money vs. Making Love”.
I decided to submit my post to some of the social bookmarking and content sites and headed over to Stumble Upon first. Much to my surprise, according to my WordPress “Current Users Online” plug-in, I had about 30 visitors on my site within minutes!

I also had a nice flow come in from Digg and Reddit. So what have we learned here? Give some thought to your title and your post is more likely to stand out from the crowd, catch the eyes of curious visitors and if you’re lucky, they’ll click on some ads or subscribe to your feed. Work some targeted keywords for SEO while you’re at it and you’re golden
