I made my first Squidoo Lens! Ok wait, I’ll back up. I’ve read about how Squidoo is like a grown up MySpace super duper web 2.0 social network for awhile now but didn’t actually check it out until this week and I’m hooked. Basically the site allows users to create their own pages..er, lenses, where you can do anything from promote your business, write about your top 10 albums of all time to expressing your thoughts on current events. I dug deeper and realized that it’s also a great tool to:

1. Boost traffic to your blog
2. Raise your search engine ranking by linking off a high traffic site with great pagerank
3. Promote your affiliate programs
4. Earn cash through their own built in money makers like i-Tunes, ebags and more.

Like everything else, I’ll test Squidoo out, join some groups, make as many lenses as I can (content is king though) with links to my blog and let you know my results!
